/// PATRICK JAMES
is a writer and editor who has published essays, interviews, reviews, and features for Filter, Bullett, ESPN’s TrueHoop Network, Fast Company’s Co.Exist site, LA Weekly, The Organist (a co-production of The Believer and KCRW), and GOOD, which he helped launch in 2006 and where he worked for five years, or 23 issues, depending on how you count. He spent the final year at GOOD as the managing editor. More recently, he spent all of 2012 as the managing editor of The New York Observer’s Very Short List, where he led a relaunch, implemented a new aesthetic, and oversaw every editorial facet of the daily curated website and email newsletter.
“Moving Takahashi,” the short film he co-wrote with director Josh Soskin, was selected by Vimeo as one of the 12 best shorts of 2012, and as a “short of the week” following its release.
He graduated from UCLA in 2004, and received masters degrees in English Literature and in Creative Writing from Chapman University in 2009.
This is where he purchases tacos.
This is what he considers just about the most fantastic thing ever.
Loyalty to the Los Angeles Clippers will likely be his undoing.
